tria Hair Removal Laser 4X Review

Every babe has had this feeling at least once while they’re completing their “let’s get beautified!” checklist – hair, done; face, done and looking great; outfit, done and it is looking like perfection – but wait, is that stubble appearing on my legs? Already? Ugh, and did I miss shaving that areas around my knees, again?! Let’s just hope nobody notices…

Babes, let’s be honest – shaving (the act of it, the razor burn, the amount of times we have to do it) downright sucks. There’s nothing glamorous about the shaving life. After hearing me complain how annoying shaving is, over and over, my boyfriend recently gifted me the tria Hair Removal Laser 4x (in pink, obvs) which he purchased from sephora.com.

I have decided to break down the pros and cons of the tria Hair Removal Laser 4x for you gorgeous babes so you can decide if this product is right for you – don’t forget to leave a comment down below and let me know if you have ever used the tria Hair Removal Laser 4x and if it worked for you!

PRO: tria is an industry and dermatologist trusted brand, and all their products are FDA cleared.

CON: The price is a bit hefty – the tria Hair Removal Laser 4x retails at sephora.com for CAD $515.00. With taxes, the final price is CAD $614.76. The price isn’t unreasonable by any means, but it will put a dent in your wallet especially if you’re on a budget.

PRO: The tria Hair Removal Laser 4x is user friendly and extremely easy to use. There is a screen on the top of the tool that allows you to choose the level of intensity of the laser pulses (1 to 5), as well as a pulse counter. The tool will “unlock” after you place the sensor on your skin – once this happens, you’re locked and loaded to start lasering away!

CON: It hurts! Maybe hurt is too strong of a word, but I definitely wouldn’t call the sensation pleasant. It’s bearable, but only if you keep the end result in mind. There are 5 intensity levels (5 obviously being the level that provides the most sting, but also bang for your buck). In my opinion, go big or go home – the results are slower to see if you use any level below 4.

PRO: The tria Hair Removal Laser 4x has given me hardcore proven results. I have used the tool literally everywhere on my body that I used to previously shave – arms, legs, armpits, and bikini area. tria states that you can use the tool on your face as well, although I personally haven’t. It takes a few sessions to see desirable results, but even after my first session I realized I could go a teeny bit longer without shaving then previously (read: about a day).

CON: The tria Hair Removal Laser 4x does not work on every skin tone. Like laser hair removal procedures you would receive at a medical spa, the results you receive will depend on your skin and hair colouring. The “perfect” skin and hair combination required to receive the best laser hair removal results is pale skin with dark hair (I think this is because the laser can distinguish easily between the skin itself and the hair follicle). The tool will not work on darker skin tones or grey, red, or blonde hair.

FINAL VERDICT: If you have some spare funds and are as fed up with shaving as I was, go for it! It has taken a few (about 6) sessions and a little bit of pain (the sensation feels like a cross between a quick sting and a slap from a rubber band) to see some real results, but the tria Hair Removal Laser 4x does work, and it works considerably well.
